Our Approach
India's Waste Problem

India’s Waste Problem

Urban India is the world’s 3rd largest garbage generator and by 2050, the waste is expected to increase by 436 million tons.

The CPCB data released in 2009 shows that India produces 62 million tons of solid waste every year. Only 20% of it is treated. The remaining contaminates land and makes its way into rivers, lakes and wetlands.

Birthing a serious problem for those living nearby and small children around. Improper disposal of waste leads to diarrhoea and cholera, scabies, tetanus, fungus, and many other diseases.

We understand that the key to efficient waste management is to ensure proper segregation at source, and that the waste goes through different streams of recycling and resource recovery.

The reduced final residue can then be deposited scientifically in sanitary landfills.

This is made possible via our partnerships with the government, NGOs, collection partners.
